Vesan (Gram Flour) ladoo is one of the best ladoos for any festival. Besan ke ladoos are easy to make and it is considered the healthiest sweet. Besan ladoos are the most favorite and a relished dish in India. These home made ladoo looks so enticing that you would like to pop it into your mouth. It is very important to roast the flour really well till it gets golden brown. These ladoos are easy to make at home and can be stored for longer in a air tight container.
The besan ladoos prepared with this recipe will get a unique and mouth watering taste, roasted gram flour and generous use of cardamom. Let us learn how to make besan ladoos at home with this a simple and very easy recipe.
Ingredients for Besan Ke Laddoo
- Besan (Gram flour) 4 cups
- Cow Ghee 2 cups
- Powder sugar 2 cups
- Cashew nuts 15-20
- Almonds 15-20
- Green cardamoms ½ teaspoon
Chop the cashews and almonds. Chop dry fruits.finely.
To make the ladoos, first roast the flour. For it, heat the 2 cups of ghee in a pan (keep 50 grams ghee for later use). Once the ghee gets melt and flour to it.
Stir the flour until it gets golden brown and now add some more ghee if required. You need to keep the flame medium.
When the gram flour gets golden brown, sprinkle very small water on it to make it grainy. Now keep stiring the batter until the form settles down. Then turn off the flame as the flour is now roasted well.
Now transfer the roasted flour to any other plate to cool down it completely. Then use it to make ladoos. Mix all the chopped dry fruits to the roasted flour. Also add cardamom powder to the it.
Now add grounded sugar to the mixture. You can keep the quantity of sugar powder as desired. Don’t add sugar when the flour is hot else it will melt. Mix it with your hands and the mixture is now ready to make the ladoos.
To make ladoos, take little amount of mixture in your hands and shape it round. Now keep rolling the mixture in your hand untill you get smooth surface. You can make the ladoos as you desire.
Place all the ladoo on a plate and similarly make the rest ladoos from the mixturel. Lips smacking and yummy besan ladoos are ready. You can serve ladoos after meal or include them as a dessert for special occasions. Each one will surely like eating these besan ladoos for sure.
